A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN X-RAY TECHNICIAN
As an X-Ray Technician, you fill a vital role in the diagnostic process for our patients. To ensure a smooth and efficient imaging process, you prepare equipment and exam rooms as well as communicate with physicians regarding the areas of the body for which images are needed. You help your patients feel comfortable by explaining procedures, answering questions, positioning them carefully, and monitoring them during imaging. The safety of your patients is your top priority and as such you follow procedures and protocols carefully. You document and report crucial information to the physician in a timely manner. You enjoy being part of our supportive team and love opportunities for professional development. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN X-RAY TECHNICIAN
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Current California radiologic technologist license (CRT)
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Possess valid California fluoroscopy permit (RFH)
- Current basic life support (BLS) OR advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certification
1 year of work experience is preferred but not required. Are you detail-oriented and thorough in your work? Do you have solid interpersonal and communication skills? Can you remain calm in emergency situations? If so, you might just be perfect for this radiologic position!
