Role Description
“Trusted advisor.” It has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? SAP consultants acquire industry, application, and technical knowledge and use it to help SAP customers achieve their most ambitious business goals. The Network Services team within SAP is looking for an Associate Consultant to serve as a Network Enablement Lead, an important role collaborating with both buyer and supplier customers on efforts that enable interaction via the Ariba Network. The Network Enablement Lead will manage the execution of the supplier enablement workstream for our SAP Ariba customers by coordinating internal outreach and support resources, leading weekly status calls and delivering analysis of project metrics, providing education and training to customers on the value and functionality of the Ariba Network, and keeping project tasks on track.
About Our Ideal Candidate
This is an “Early Talent” position, which means we are looking for aptitude and fit more so than a particular set of hard skills or experiences. Our ideal candidate is:
- A recent college graduate (within last two years)
- Passionate about working directly with customers and comfortable maintaining a customer-centric attitude even under sub-optimal circumstances
- Equally passionate and aggressive about developing expertise in new enterprise software applications, business processes, and implementation methodologies
- Highly analytical and an elite problem-solver with ability to evaluate business problems and apply technology knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
- An effective and polished communicator, both orally and in writing, and comfortable with public speaking/delivering presentations
- Open to domestic travel, up to 15%
With that said, it certainly doesn’t hurt to have had some exposure to:
- Customer-facing roles
- SAP applications (SAP Ariba in particular)
- Supply chain and/or source-to-pay business processes
- Project management principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel functions
