The QA Test Engineer will play a key role in testing the Fieldglass application and will be responsible for providing functional and technical guidance throughout the quality cycle starting with the requirements to the deployment phase. We have on-site facility in our Naperville or Chicago office, but we are open to a Flex at Work policy.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with IT, Product Development or Product team
  • Learn and test the product, working closely with Quality Assurance team to ensure efficiency on Product and Release.
  • Develop, execute and maintain both manual and automated tests using Selenium, Powershell, or other Automation Tools.
  • Play an integral role in the entire software development lifecycle. This includes participation in design sessions, defining functional requirements, working with development teams, testing, and preparing code for production deployment.
  • Research and trace the root cause of a failure or problem, being able to provide a comprehensive explanation of how to recreate the problem and identify the root cause.
  • Evaluate new technologies on a continual basis and update/develop best practices.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years of Quality Assurance experience testing web applications is required.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Quality Assurance disciplines within the software development cycle.
  • Experience using JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, and MMS SQL Server to write complex queries.
  • Familiarity with Scripting tools such Selenium, PowerShell or Perl.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively build trust and move decisions or projects.
  • Experience succeeding with minimal supervision, quickly adapting to change, working on tasks until completion, and maintaining a high level of work performance and service excellence to meet clients‘ needs.
