ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Business Process Consultant shall provide deep subject matter expertise and content around the area of Materials Management and Master Data Management (especially data management of products – Materials), that facilitates the implementation and support of on-prem and cloud-based solutions, across the entire MM and MDG product portfolio in order to enhance the clients’ business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The consultant will partner with the client to analyze and define business requirements, processes and objectives to scope project and deliverables for same. The consultant will implement, customize and test solutions on client system and develop client-specific enhancements to meet business requirements as needed; as well as:

• Be actively involved in the preparation, conceptualization, realization and Go-Live of customer implementation projects
• Perform feasibility studies and process design reviews
• Take responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports respective line manager(s) in people development tasks
• Develop detailed plan of process implementation
• Define detailed blueprint for development requirements
• Lead industry/corporate process implementation across all related applications (SAP/non-SAP)
• Develop and Assure quality of process models
• Demonstrate profound knowledge of modeling standards and tools

• Assist in the development of the overall project plan (scoping process) as well as individual work plans; acting as liaison with client for troubleshooting (investigates, analyses, and solves software problems)
• Analyze and map clients’ business requirements, processes and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients’ needs.
• Support the NA Services Organization with implementation projects, pre-sales support (estimating), spot consulting and internal projects and commit to the success of customers, partners, colleagues, and SAP
• Up to 50% travel may be required (when travel returns to normal pre-COVID levels could be adjusted)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

In addition to a bachelor/master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or other relevant degree, and a minimum of seven years of progressive experience, the successful candidate will possess:

• A minimum of 5 years consulting experience.
• Professional experience with large, multi-national software/IT organizations and with a demonstrated expertise in Master Data Governance (MDG) and SAP’s Materials Management Suite of Software and best practices
• Expertise in latest release of components of the MM Application Portfolio
• Expertise in Change and Configuration Management (CMII)
• Experience with MM business processes and various related industry experience
• Knowledge and or experience with Siemens Teamcenter Application a plus.
• Formal SAP certification in a related application area is a plus
• ABAP development and debugging skills a plus
• Working knowledge of cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/PaaS models, cloud -based commerce/business networks is a plus
• Good knowledge of SAP integration to Core ECC desirable.
• Experience with SAP Implementation Methodologies (ASAP, Activate, Sprints, Advanced Deployment, etc.).
• Knowledge of Rapid Deployment Solutions (RDS) Approach, Assemble to Order (A2O), Engineered Services (ES), Model Company, etc.
• Knowledge of SAP’s Industry 4.0 Strategy and applications
• Knowledge of SAP’s Design to Operate (DTO) Strategy, Industry 4.Now, Industry Cloud Approaches, and applications
• Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP Cloud Platform) a plus.
• Customer facing experience with strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels within client company
• Ability to act as a team lead and or Workstream Lead
• Fluency in English, any other language an asset
