SAP Solution Lead/Advisor: SAP Success Delivery Center

SAP SDC Solution Lead primarily works closely with North America Regional and Market Unit Solution centers on qualified opportunities and is responsible for assembling the complete solution based on customer requirements obtained during a Service sales pursuit. SAP SDC Solution lead works alongside with the SDC Engagement Manager (SEM) and leads a teams of subject matter experts to deliver full-service documentation (estimates, scope documents, proposals, customer presentations) for qualified services and support opportunities.


Summary of the roles and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with North America Solution center during the solutioning phase and ensure the final work products is closely aligned to market unit and customer requirements.
  • Solutioning assigned deals, with high quality, within agreed SLA’s and timelines, meeting the expectations of the respective market units, the end customer
  • Making optimum use of Success Delivery Center portfolio of services, solution templates with a right mix of on-site, nearshore, and offshore resources.
  • Participating in pre-sales/architect capacity as needed in customer workshops to understand and finalize customer needs & scope.
  • Liaising with Subject matter expert(s) from Success Delivery Center Hubs and/or the Market unit teams such as Services Delivery (consulting practices), Premium Engagement etc., to define jointly define scope, estimate efforts, schedule etc.,
  • Strive to continuously improve the bid quality, resulting in less iterations and higher win rate
  • Demonstrate flexibility in approach & adapt to learn new solution areas and technologies / service offerings.
  • Able to build and leverage effective and efficient networks across teams


Experience/Role Requirements

  • 10 – 12 years of hands-on SAP Technology or Functional consulting or pre-sales experience.
  • 2 – 4 years of solid SAP product & solution skills with certification in the relevant area of expertise i.e., S/4HANA Functional or Platform or Integration Technologies.
  • Solution Architecting skills in relevant SAP domain / Industry and experience in driving customer workshops.
  • Knowledge about SAP Activate methodology, SAP Model company will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of SAP Integration technologies and Extensions will be a plus
  • Overall application/module architecture knowledge is desirable to comprehend customer needs & solution suitably.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to work effectively in international/global delivery setup and virtual teams.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented thinking, Strong customer focus, Networking skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or related field, or equivalent work experience required. (Full Time)
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Certification in relevant SAP Skill areas or IT domain
  • Strong communication / interpersonal abilities need to manage conflicting expectations from different areas and stakeholders


About the Team:

Success Delivery center (SDC) is an integral part of SAP’s Cloud Success Service and operates through 18 centers globally. SAP SDC is responsible to deliver SAP’s portfolio of services to help customers realize the maximum value from SAP solutions and continually guide their plan for better results and experience. Success Delivery center leverages the Engagement Management function aligned by regions and market unit to support services sales for deal execution and solutioning of bids. The primary objective is to adequately leverage committed cost offerings, factory services, global deliver capabilities and cloud delivery models during the solutioning process.


We are looking for a Solution Lead/Advisor to support North America region with proficiency in S/4 HANA (Digital core) and Cloud Technologies with strong technical or functional expertise.
