ABOUT THE TEAM

The Intelligent Enterprise Solutions (IES) department is responsible for evolving SAP’s IT strategy and executing on it. We are applying our expertise in technology and business processes by driving the internal adoption of standard applications that support end-users in the execution and re-engineering of their processes in all lines of business, always putting a strong focus on end-user centricity. It is our objective to accelerate co-innovation with development and extend the use of SAP standard products within SAP, shifting the focus from maintaining a heavily customized environment to optimizing our processes on top of standard services. By combining technological understanding with business know how and using our own innovative solutions as earliest adopter, we ensure zero distance between business and technology and act as ultimate proof point in SAP’s transition to a cloud company.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Reporting to the Head Cloud Integration & Adoption Product Management Team, the IT Business Services UX Designer will work closely with the business, customers and IT delivery teams to design and develop UIs that provide optimal user experience to the customers and business partners.

• Oversight of user experience design across ART/projects to drive consistency of visuals, interactions and language creating a cohesive user experience
• Measure and monitor user adoption of product and feature use
• Creates, evaluates, and modifies prototypes to support evolving software application development.
• Focus on User experience and usability of products, works on User Interface, User research, UX/UI Design, align usage of personas across the program or product for different purposes, align on User journeys across teams
• Drive the creation of personas that includes interacting and following up with different stakeholders, interviewing users, creating persona cards in conjunction with the SAP UX designer.
• Identification of workflow optimization opportunities based on customer usage patterns through a “process affinity” perspective
• Deriving improvement potential and opportunity areas (decision support to sunset if not in use)
• Owner of methods to drive more customer-centric choices through design thinking approaches and tools
• Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams in projects, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems of high complexity.
• Responsible for UI delivery outcomes of assigned projects and sub projects, works independently within defined policies and processes and contributes to milestones
• Develops user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation, and task and objective analyses.
• Assists in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations.
• Develops and applies software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems.
• Produces specifications describing user requirements and internal structures for product in development.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Education and Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience working as a UX designer and developer
• Experience assessing usability problems
• Experience with designing and developing apps (business or commercial), knowledge of SAP Fiori or equivalent needed
• Experience with design UX Tools (e.g., Visio, Fireworks. to solve complex UI issues)
• Gather UX/UI requirements from different value streams that would need the person to understand design systems (Fiori)
• Experience with design tools like Figma/ Sketch
• Experience in explaining UX processes and tools to others, and coach their use, including reviewing and editing, test scripts, use cases, and UI validation documents.
• Experience leading interactive customer product demo and discussion.
• Experience in IT scaled Lean-Agile roles preferred
• Experience working in an agile or scaled agile environment
• Knowledge of IT tools, methods and processes, planning, estimation, coordination and release management, change and communications as well as the identification of training needs
• Languages English (required)
• Master or Diploma university degree, preferably in Business Administration, Engineering, Information technologies or equivalent training and job experience
