Are you looking for an opportunity to manage a friendly and professional team yet still work hands-on in the transportation industry? Join our Petroleum Team as an Operations Manager in our Northeast Region, specifically located in Norfolk, NE.
We are looking for a humble leader with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and who is looking to make a meaningful impact to our business.
As an Operations Manager you will be working hands-on with the team. Responsibilities include:
- Manages all assigned staff associated within the Region. Including, Interviews, hiring, and training of all Staff.
- Maintains and approves all payroll-related information for assigned staff/drivers.
- Builds a positive work environment centered around safety and efficiency.
- Leads and directs all safety efforts and meetings for assigned locations.
- Ensures compliance with all governing regulatory agencies.
- Oversees drivers, dispatchers, and all delivery-related operations including fuels, lubricants, propane, and any other ancillary products.
- Builds a strong knowledge of the products and services provided while supporting the Sales and Regional team in profitably growing the business.
- Ensures all equipment, assets, and inventory of products are properly maintained and utilized in the safest and most efficient manner possible.
- Works collaboratively with all other Regional and Corporate team members.
- Maintains On-Call 24/7 availability for handling driver/staff issues and ensures operational coverage is always in place.
- Represents Sapp Bros. to our customers, the public, and the Petroleum Industry in a professional manner at all times.
