Objective: The Nurse Coordinator will coordinate, implement, and monitor health services for SARAH Inc. CT RN license required.
Pay Rate: Starting at $40/hr
Hours: Non-Exempt, 30-32 hours/week (daytime hours - no nights, weekends or holidays)
Locations: North Haven and Madison, able to do some work remotely
Requirements
- Must have and maintain a current state Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Department of Developmental Services (DDS) nursing experience preferred but not required
- DDS health coordination and Therap system experience preferred
- Must consistently demonstrate professional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license with an acceptable driving history as defined by SARAH Inc. policy
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Flexibility to work at multiple community locations and attend family and DDS Meetings
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and follow state medical regulations
- Knowledge of standard nursing practices and health care procedures
- Knowledge of intellectual and other disabilities
- Flexibility to work at multiple community locations, attend family and DDS meetings
- Skill in training staff in a positive manner
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Skills in operating standard office equipment and in using a personal computer and various software packages
- Planning and organizational skills including, but not limited to, maintaining organized medical files and accurate medication administration records
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensuring agency compliance with HIPAA and regulatory regulations and requirements
- Ability to read, write, communicate effectively, and translate general administrative guidelines into specific actions
