Schedule: Weekend availability a must, at least 20 hours per week with a set schedule
Responsibilities:
- Photograph a variety of pets in a studio setting, capturing their individual personalities and creating stunning fine art portraits.
- Utilize studio lighting techniques to achieve desired effects and enhance the beauty of each pet.
- Handle and manage pets during photo sessions with care and patience, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Communicate with different personalities using charm and humor, making clients feel at ease, heard, and cared for.
- Effectively manage photo sessions, directing pet parents to achieve desired poses and expressions.
- Culling your own sessions within 24 hours using Adobe Lightroom or Bridge to maintain a consistent and high-quality standard.
- Maintain equipment, including Nikon cameras and accessories, to ensure optimal performance.
- Schedule and prepare clients for their Artwork Selection Appointments.
- Clean and organize studio space at the end of each day.
- Clearly and respectfully communicate with other team members.
- Additional studio or administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- College degree or certification in photography, fine art, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Previous photography experience. Studio photography and/or pet portraiture experience a plus
- Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom or Bridge for photo editing and organization.
- Familiarity with studio lighting techniques, and Nikon equipment a plus, training for our style is provided.
- Experience handling animals, with a compassionate and patient approach.
- Knowledge of dog training principles a plus
- Quick learner and self starter, comfortable working independently.
- Comfortable learning new online platforms for client tracking
- Experience with Dropbox, Slack, and Clickup a plus
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs. This is an active and physically demanding position.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and pets with charm, humor, and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
