About Our Job
Organize, implement, and promote recreational programs, special events, and other related programs and activities at beautiful Laurel Park in Nokomis!Amenities at this location: Basketball, Bicycling, Community Garden, Dog-Friendly (leash required), Gymnasium, Indoor Rental, Multi-Purpose Field, Outdoor Fitness Equipment, Pickleball, Playground, Recreation Building, Restroom, Shelter / Pavilion, Tennis, Tennis Court, Trail - Paved, and Volleyball
Job Description:
- Serve as primary resource for customers via phone, email and in person. Provide information about facility programs, classes, special events, answer questions about room and open space reservations, pickleball passes and registration, create permits for rentals.
- Assist with creating and distributing promotional pieces for marketing, assist with coordinating volunteer projects with volunteers.
- Night and weekend work required when facility/event coverage is needed.
- Assist Program Coordinators by working at various Recreation Facilities to ensure proper staffing.
- Assist with a variety of county-run programs, outreach events, summer camps, off-site special events, committees, and functions as assigned.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- And two (2) years of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recreation programming experience
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything Else
Pay: $15.52 – $18.11, based on your experience.
