This leader has full operational responsibility managing the daily activities of HealthFit, the medically integrated fitness facility for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. In this role, the leader models positive leadership behavior and ensures the safety and cleanliness of HealthFit, while managing and tracking departmental and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Require a Bachelor’s degree in Fitness Administration, Health Care Administration, Exercise Science, or Business Administration.
- Require a minimum of five (5) years of experience in in a leadership role. Master’s degree in Health Care Administration or Business Administration can substitute for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer previous experience in a medical fitness setting, preparing a marketing plan including the principles of advertising products and services, and implementing and supervising a direct sales effort.
- Prefer demonstrated understanding of the concepts of retail sales and the specific principles underlying the consultative sales process used to sell medical fitness memberships as well as membership retention.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of medical fitness center planning and management sufficient to manage, direct and coordinate the operation.
- Prefer demonstrated effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to establish and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to analyze problems, consistently follow through to solution, and to take initiative, exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem solving expertise.
