Your Role:
Our successful Accounting Supervisor promotes outstanding relations with all guests and fellow Team Members by providing service in a friendly, swift, and responsible manner. They thrive in a team base environment where everyone consistently uplifts and supports each other through detail oriented work and regularly doing what it takes to ensure all necessary work completed.
Keys to Success in this Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- A minimum of three (3) years progressive Accounting experience is required.
- Experience supervising and staff development.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong accounting skills and have the ability to work independently.
- Capability to identify problem areas and provide resolution.
- Responsible for fiscal month end closing including financial statement preparation, journal entry preparation and review, general ledger reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Participation in the annual budgeting process.
- Responsible for all aspects of various audit engagements including but not limited to: Financial, Workers Compensation, Insurance, and New York State Gaming Commission.
- Oversee timely reconciliation of corporate bank accounts.
- Oversee Fixed Asset, Capital Expenditure and Prepaid schedules.
- Oversee the preparation of sub ledger transactions.
- Monthly physical inventory and cost of goods sold calculation.
- Maintain integrity of internal controls and proper accounting practices.
- Indirectly oversee a team of 4 finance employees
- Enforce all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
- Promote outstanding customer relations.
