Responsibilities
As the Marking Coordinator for Sargent & Lundy's Electric Grid Infrastrature Services business group, this position involves both proposal activity as well as business group presence in marketing material, website update, and trade show presence. Activities to include proposal development efforts and marketing material development in collaboration with business development and project management leadership to develop distinctive value propositions that enhance our competitive positions and promote our technical abilities.
Resposibilities will include:
- Act as the Marketing Coordinator (in conjunction with the Corporate Communications Manager) for Electric Grid Infrastructure Services business unit
- Ensure all marketing resources meet our branding standards by working alongside our Corporate Communications Manager and team
- Develop proposal plan, draft storyboards, develop proposal and assist in win strategy
- Development of text, graphics and visuals for proposals and project completion brochures.
- Attend professional associations, conferences, and build professional networks and trade show processes. Set up and prepare all materials associated with the booth.
- Research trade shows for potential attendance and/or participation through speaking, presentations, client events and coordinating booth presence where applicable. Recruitment of presenters and/or making presentations at the tradeshow. Coordinate participation in and logistics for client-focused industry events and trade shows; includes pre- and post-event marketing and follow-up
- Work with technical staff to plan and develop white papers, website content, and other thought leadership efforts
- Manage division photo and asset library
- Assist with the submittal for industry awards (ACEC; ENR) local trade or national trade publications.
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field. Applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
- 4 or more years of professional experience in marketing, business development, or sales with a professional services firm. Experience at an A/E firm preferred, or within Construction, Engineering, or Architecture industry
- APMP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
- Proficient in digitalization.
- Knowledge of current industry marketing trends, formats and styles.
- Excellent writing and communication skills are a must for this position. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, skilled at gathering information from a variety of stakeholders, and able to communicate technical, often complex content in an engaging, accessible way.
- Time management, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are critical for a candidate’s success in this role.
- Candidates must be available to work during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8-5) and be flexible/available to work occasional hours outside this schedule. This position may require some travel to trade shows and events (under 5%).
