ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates the implementation, adherence and maintenance of the Sartori Quality System and Safe Quality Food (SQF) programs.
- Instructs and/or develops UltiPro Learning training for Sartori Whey Converting facility on food safety, good manufacturing practices, allergens, food defense, SQS policies, and all other food safety or quality topics.
- Leads small cross-functional teams focusing on continuous improvement, root cause analysis and corrective action using tools such as statistical process controls, and A3 problem solving methods for quality related issues and complaints.
- Provides detailed response to quality related issues.
- Responsible for Non-Conformance Report Management and disposition of affected product
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure quality expectations are defined and implemented for new products and processes. Updates quality systems, policies and work instructions as needed.
- Leads quality work orientation of new Team Members including onboarding of supervisors and other leaders.
- Leads regulatory, customer, and 3rd party audits at Sartori Whey Converting facility.
- Partners with Production Supervisors to improve processes, methodology and product consistency.
- Leads Sartori Whey Converting Food Safety and Food Defense Teams.
- Facilitates routine food safety team meetings and “quality awareness” meetings at the Sartori Whey Converting facility.
- Works with facility management to achieve quality metric goals as established by the Manufacturing Quality Manager and production team.
- Immediately takes action on and reports any food safety or quality issues to facility management or other individual with authority to take action
- Lead and develop QA Analyst role
- Backup Provision: In the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Operations FSQ Manager - Converting will fulfill the responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Nutrition, or related field, required.
- 5 years of related experience in a food facility, experience in quality systems, required. Experience in a dairy facility, preferred.
- Experience implementing and applying quality tools (CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA) and auditing experience, preferred.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of basic scientific principles and microbiological principles and techniques and quality control principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles to conduct effective training.
- Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards or related ERP.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to establish goals, convey ideas and provide clear direction.
- Leadership ability, ability to delegate and lead small groups.
- Self-motivated and results driven with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Decisive- gathers information and uses reasoning to make decisions quickly and confidently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Salary : $74,200 - $93,900
