About the job
The Aviation team is looking for a Senior Captain to assist with the operation of company-owned aircraft and for assisting in ensuring the safety, comfort, and convenience of all passengers. SAS currently operates FAR 91 with a goal of obtaining a 135 certificate in the near future. Successful candidate will be required to live within 1 hour drive from RDU. Our fleet currently consist of a Falcon 2000LX, 2 Falcon 900EX EASys and a BBJ.
As a Senior Captain, you will:
Acts as pilot in command of flights for which the pilot has been scheduled.
Perform flight duties in compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, foreign regulations, and SAS operating policies and procedures.
Ensure that all flight and ground operations comply with manufacturer and FAA requirements and recommendations for specific type aircraft being flown.
Ensure all necessary actions are taken to ensure the safety and comfort of the passengers.
Coordinates with maintenance personnel to analyze and correct aircraft discrepancies.
Assists Flight Coordination Manager with details during pre-trip planning and during the conduct of company trips.
Makes decisions regarding flight planning, possible delays, re-routing or flight cancellations.
Required Qualifications
Aviation or related degree preferred.
Current Airline Transport Pilot license with multi-engine and instrument ratings.
Requires a minimum of 5000 hours of total documented flight time, plus 1500 hours flying a jet, 1500 hours Pilot-in-Command of which 1000 hours must be in jet aircraft requiring 2 pilots due to type certification, and 300 hours of instrument experience.
Must be at least 25 years of age.
FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
FCC Radio License.
Valid Passport and/or other travel documents for free entrance and exit in other countries.
No record of aircraft accidents or violations.
Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
3 years experience in corporate aviation.
International experience to include North Atlantic and Pacific operations.
Falcon EASy experience a plus.
