Sauder Woodworking is looking for a Tax Manager that will work closely with the Corporate Tax Director. This role will assist in gathering and preparing information to comply with all tax-related requirements including corporate, property, and sales/use taxes. The tax manager will supervise 3-4 employees in the accounts payables department.This position requires training on-site for approximately one month, with hybrid opportunities after training is complete.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Assists Corporate Tax Director with:Maintaining the company’s tax compliance calendar.Keeping the tax record keeping system up to date, documenting and reviewing for efficiencies and repeatable processes. Maintaining corporate tax records that support tax audits by outside regulatory agencies. May include assistance with representing company with tax audits.Preparing, filing and paying use/sales tax, personal property tax, and annual state reports.Tracking and gathering data as requested for federal and state corporate income tax return preparation. Working with outside accounting firm to assist with completion of the annual tax accrual and supporting schedules.401k and insurance complianceAccounts Payable:Manages workload among 3-4 accounts payable clerks.Responsible to make payments twice weekly for ACH and checks weekly.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in accounting from four-year college or universityMinimum of five years of corporate tax or public accounting experienceCPA certification preferredExperience with relevant aspects of accounting/finance function
