Overall Goal of the Position:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Brand Marketing Assistant to join our Condiments marketing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the execution of the marketing strategy for two iconic brands – Duke’s Mayonnaise and Mateo’s Salsa – and to directly impact the way customers interact with our portfolio of brands. As the Brand Marketing Assistant in the Condiments Business Unit, you will play a crucial role in the success and reputation of our products and brands in the market.
The Brand Marketing Assistant will report directly to the Mateo’s Brand Manager and will also support the Duke’s Brand Manager and the Innovation Brand Manager. This person will work closely with the following internal and external people and teams:
Duke’s Assistant Brand Marketing Managers
Mateo’s Brand Manager
Condiments Social Media Manager
Condiments Graphic Design Specialist
Consumer Services Agency
Ecomm Web Developer
Ecomm Warehouse Managers
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Brand Marketing (60%): supports the execution of marketing strategy for Duke’s and Mateo’s
Work alongside the brand managers on Duke’s and Mateo’s to help with competitive audits of the category.
Assist in tracking deliverables across brands and channels.
Assist with building briefs for projects both internally and externally.
Project support for marketing initiatives to include brand or media activity.
Tracking category news and product trends and reporting on results weekly.
Coordination and management of product, samples, influencer boxes, sales team requests and food service customers.
Responsible for planning and orchestration of our brand footprint at conferences and trade shows.
Consumer Services (40%)
Consumer Outreach: owns communication with consumers who have been escalated to Sauers via our Consumer Services agency.
Ecomm Coordination: coordinates with ecomm team to execute resolution of consumer cases.
Quality Operations Support: supports the Quality Operations team to ensure efficient investigations of critical quality issues.
Day-to-day point of contact with external call center and ecomm warehouse.
Tracking & Reporting: tracks consumer escalations, identifies trends, upskills Consumer Services agency on recurring issues, ongoing communication to BU on escalation volume and key insights.
Performance Standards (the criteria that will be used to evaluate performance):
This Brand Marketing Assistant will be measured against a combination of overall Condiment Business Unit success as well as Duke’s and Mateo’s brand specific performance.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
Educational background in marketing or a related field
1-3 years of professional work experience preferred
