Position Summary: The successful candidate will safely and efficiently transport material to and from locations year-round in the North region of the United States and Saskatchewan, a bordering Canadian Province.
Here is what you will be doing:
Daily unloading of dry product
Report maintenance issues to Dispatch
Take an active role in our safety program including attendance to all safety meetings and ensure safe behaviors of self and others
Accurately fill out all necessary paperwork
Enforce safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors
Assist with other duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape upkeep and painting)
Interact with customers, railroad crews, other Team Members and visitors
Requirements of a successful Class A Driver:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Class A CDL Driver's License
Valid Passport or ability to attain a Passport
Active doubles and triples endorsement
A minimum of 2 years of tractor/trailer and doubles experience
Experience and willingness to drive in the snow and ice
Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies
Ability to safely deliver product directly from customer facility
Ability and interested in being cross trained on all functions at facility
Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment
Read, write, and understand English
Basic math skills
Computer skills (light data entry)
Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:
Ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)
Physically able to climb up and down rail cars/ladders safely
Must be one year violations free and two years accident free per MVR
Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)
