What You'll Do in This Position

Establish vision, develop strategy, and lead implementation of Digital Transformation (DX) for SRNS in support of National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) missions at Savannah River Site (SRS). Provide oversight and drive integration of ongoing/future NNSA DX initiatives, including Product Realization Integrated Digital Enterprise (PRIDE), Model Based Enterprise Transition Initiative (MBET-I), and Digital Transformation Senior Steering Group (DTSSG) Sub-Group activities at SRS. Represent SRNS in complex-wide DX efforts within the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE). The position reports to the Department Manager, Operational Technology (OT) Center of Excellence (CoE) within the SRNS Engineering division; however, the position also represents the DX interests/capabilities of Information Technology (IT) within the SRNS Business Services Division.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, articulate, and drive implementation of a comprehensive DX vision and strategy aligned with NNSA mission requirements/goals, ensuring a forward-looking approach to technology adoption and innovation.
- Collaborate with various NNSA projects and programs to understand their unique needs and opportunities relative to DX.
- Interact regularly with SRNS Executive Leadership to maintain mutual situational awareness and solicit support, as needed.
- Collaborate with and leverage SRNS OT and IT organizational expertise/resources to architect and implement DX solutions.
- Act as a strategist and champion for Modern Manufacturing principles, methodologies, and technology deployment.
- Act as a strategist and champion for Digital Thread technology deployment.
- Act as a strategist and champion for Digital Twin technology deployment.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, evaluating their applicability to enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation within the manufacturing landscape.
- Lead change initiatives, fostering a culture of adaptability and innovation, and ensure a smooth transition to new digital processes and technologies.
- Advocate for the use of data analytics and insights to drive informed decision-making, optimizing processes and performance across the manufacturing ecosystem.
- Identify potential risks associated with DX initiatives and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring the resilience of the organization during the transition.

In addition, prepare and monitor plans including schedules, budgets, and other requirements for solving major technical tasks associated with Digital Transformation, as needed.

Mentor less senior professionals with transferring technical knowledge and insight.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Qualifications We Require

Bachelor degree in applicable science or engineering discipline

Other Qualifications

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q Level security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire

BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred.

Advanced degree in a Technical or Management/Leadership discipline.

Demonstrated success in leading organizational change along with promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Proactive mindset to drive change, question assumptions, and push for innovative solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and influence decision-making at various organizational levels.

Proven track record with Operational Technology experience.

In-depth knowledge of modern manufacturing principles and Industry 4.0/IIoT technologies.

NNSA project/facility support experience.
