The Tank Farms Associate Project Operations Coordinator or Project Operations Coordinator will coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing project work streams and serves as liaison between project management, project team, and line management to expedite the execution of work.

The Tank Farms Associate Project Operations Coordinator or Project Operations Coordinator will coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing project work streams and serves as liaison between project management, project team, and line management to expedite the execution of work.
- Acts as work stream leader for limited operational project activities, serving as point of contact and liaison for activities within the scope of work stream. Contact with internal and external customers and limited interface with other facility groups and departments including mid/upper management.
- Coordinates field walk downs to establish/verify as-is condition prior to project work stream implementation, and in support of routine housekeeping, facility safety inspections of project installed equipment, and other walk downs requested by internal and external customers, and as required to successfully complete the project work stream.
- Prepares and maintains detailed scope documentation for project work stream modifications.
- Maintains an awareness of scheduled project work and requests the resources, parts and paperwork necessary to meet task readiness and coordinates the field work through to completion under close supervision.
- May represent the project team in status, integration or other meetings.
- Builds comprehensive knowledge of ISMS work steps (Scope, Analyze Hazards, Identify Controls, Perform Work, Feedback). Stays current on changing work practices and policies.
- Reviews and escalates documents necessary to expedite work prior to submitting for approval including design packages, field implementation packages, new operating procedures and associated training.
- May assist in integrating project schedule activities into the facility scheduling programs (i.e. POW, lock-in and long range planning).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Acts as work stream leader for standard operational project activities. Periodically serves as primary point of contact and liaison for activities within the scope of work stream. Contact with internal and external customers and works with other facility groups and departments including mid/upper management.
- Coordinates and completes field walk downs to establish/verify as-is condition prior to project work stream implementation, and in support of routine housekeeping, facility safety inspections of project installed equipment, and other walk downs requested by internal and external customers, and as required to successfully complete the project work stream.
- Assists in the development of overall project scope including technical requirements, materials, equipment and resources. Prepares and maintains detailed scope documentation for project work stream modifications.
- Maintains a comprehensive awareness of scheduled project work within work stream and drives the resources, parts and paperwork to task readiness and coordinates/leads the field work through to completion.
- Represents the project team in status, integration or other meetings related to assigned work stream.
- Comprehends and follows ISMS work steps (Scope, Analyze Hazards, Identify Controls, Perform Work, Feedback). Stays current on changing work practices and policies.
- Ensures that work performed is being done according to technical work documents, by appropriate personnel assigned to the work, and according to safety standards with support from Closure Project Manager.
- Reviews and modifies documents necessary to expedite work prior to submitting for approval including design packages, field implementation packages, new operating procedures and associated training.
- Work is reviewed for soundness and overall adequacy and accuracy.
- When required by procedure, may serve as the Person In Charge (PIC) over assigned project evolutions.
- Provides input to integrating project schedule activities into the facility scheduling programs (i.e. POW, lock-in and long range planning).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical or science discipline
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical discipline and 1 year of practical experience in operations/maintenance, project or technical area
OR
- Associate’s degree and 2 years of practical experience in operations/maintenance, project or technical area
OR
- A high school diploma/GED and 4 years of practical experience in operations/maintenance, project or technical area
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical or science disciplines and 2 years of practical experience in operations/maintenance, projects or engineering
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical discipline and 3 years of practical experience in operations/maintenance, project or technical area
OR
- Associate’s degree and 4 years of practical experience in operations/maintenance, project or technical area
OR
- A high school diploma/GED and 6 years of practical experience in operations/maintenance, project or technical area
Any candidate(s) selected to receive an offer will be offered the position level commensurate with their experience and qualifications.
- Ability to understand and interpret various electrical and mechanical documents, blueprints, drawings and schematics.
- Basic understanding of facility processes, systems and equipment.
- General knowledge of site work control procedures and work practices and procedures for maintenance, operations, construction and project related areas.
- General knowledge of general or specific safety, environmental, regulatory, safeguards, security, emergency preparedness programs, policies, practices and guidelines.
- General knowledge of schedules and schedule integration including support resources required to accomplish tasks.
- Basic knowledge of Closure Project guidelines related to cost, scope, schedule and risk management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
- Radiological worker trained.
