Summary/Objective
Join the SaviLinx team as a senior leader within the Human Resources department where you will be responsible for and lading multiple compliance initiatives across multiple locations and states. A key resource to the Vice President of Human Resources, you will be responsible for discovering, facilitating, executing, and ensuring all federal, state and contractual requirements related to the HR function are satisfied. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – HR COMPLIANCE
Under the direction of the VP of Human Resources:
- Understand and stay up to date on all general labor laws at the federal and state level, including the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA)
- Ensure that employees and teams are in place to address HR compliance issues
- Own and manage the employee handbook and organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance; develop new policies and procedures as appropriate; implement a formal review process
- Ensure compliance company-wide related to (but not limited to):
- Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)
- American’s with Disabilities (ADA/ADAAA) accommodation requests
- Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Employment policies and procedures
- Collect and report on compliance for EEO, Affirmative Action, Veteran Reporting, OSHA500, and other related areas
- Oversee employee benefits and administration
- Document and manage all employee safety related claims while functioning as the liaison for insurance and medical providers
- Ensure compliance with employee documentation, document accuracy, employee document maintenance and retention, etc.
- Conduct and oversee special, compliance related projects and audits as requested.
- Ensure completion and submission of HR-related reporting and calendar-based deadlines (State and Federal)
- Implement and oversee employee training to meet compliance requirements.
This position will partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition to ensure the following:
- Hiring and onboarding practices are fully documented and compliant
- Job descriptions are current and compliant
- Employee documentation requirements and timelines are understood and met
This position will partner with the Director of Human Resources, Employee Relations to ensure the following:
- Employee policies and procedures are current and applicable.
- Performance evaluations are delivered and compliant.
- Employee corrective actions are properly documented and compliant.
- Employee terminations and exit interviews are consistent, documented appropriately and compliant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – HR GENERAL
Under the direction of the VP of Human Resources:
- Assist in all HR areas as needed or requested
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA degree required with a focus in Human Resources considered a plus
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR or other HR certification considered a plus
- 10 years of increasing Human Resources experience with a minimum of 4 years of HR leadership experience
- Demonstrated success in HR compliance
- Successful experience analyzing and maximizing operational efficiency and productivity
- Strong experience leading all aspects of a large-scale project or program from vision to execution, especially when cross-functional teams are involved
- Effortless communicator with engaging presentation style
- Some travel may be required, based on business needs
- Salary commensurate with experience
