You’ll be an integral part of the business development team including responding to requests for government and commercial proposals. This position will work across all functional areas of the company to gather information and translate it into clear, factual, and persuasive copy that articulates our offerings while complying with all proposal requirements. This is an extremely deadline-driven role often requiring copy on the fly and last-minute edits - flexibility and the ability to work under pressure is key!

We need an engaged new team member who is a great writer, can manage multiple priorities with ease and thrives in a team environment. Is this you?
This role will:
- Review government and commercial RFIs, RFPs and other procurement requests to understand the scope and requirements for each proposal
- Attend meetings to understand the company strategy, approach, and operational aspects and solutioning of each proposal
- Schedule follow-on meetings with individual departments and research sources as needed to capture additional details necessary to write proposal responses.
- Draft professional copy in response to proposal questions, leveraging our content library and modifying as needed
- Create simple charts and graphs to illustrate key points of the proposal
- Revise copy as required to adjust to changes in scope or approach and in response to feedback
- Fine-tune copy to create final text that is grammatically perfect, clear, factual, and persuasive
- Meet all required deadlines, which may include occasional nights and weekends
- Store all copy in our proposal library and continually refine and edit it to reflect company positioning and capabilities
Requirements include:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred
- Experience in grant writing, proposal writing, or business contracts writing
- Ability to craft clear and compelling copy under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and teamwork skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and spelling
- Strong organizational and project management skills; detail-oriented and deadline-driven
- Proven multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient with business applications including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word); experience with RFP software a plus
- Able to work occasional nights and weekends as needed to meet critical deadlines
This full-time role is currently work-from-home with some in-office activities required. Candidates must be within a reasonable driving distance of a SaviLinx facility, have high-speed wired internet (broadband or similar), and be able to work Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
