What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar Helper position at SAVKAT SOLAR?

The Solar Helper will assist in installations and service calls in order to gain an understanding of our systems, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed. Other duties include wiring solar photovoltaic (PV) modules on roofs, or other structures, in compliance with site assessment and schematics, and assisting roofers and electricians as needed.
You will be a guest at our customer's home and are expected to act accordingly.
Identify safety hazards, proper orientation, module layout, solar access and structural integrity.
Maintain thorough documentation of system installation including photographs, location diagrams for arrays and equipment, and existing site features.
Submit all documentation in a timely manner.
Maintain a neat and orderly job site.
Other duties as they are assigned.
REQUIRED
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be available early mornings and afternoons
- Comfortably able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, work with tools, work in crawl spaces, and work on roof tops in varying hot and cold temperatures
- Must have regular, reliable attendance record
- Must have reliable transportation to office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
