We are seeking a dedicated Subcontractor Coordinator to join our team and help us continue to uphold our reputation for high-quality construction solutions. As a Subcontractor Coordinator, you will be the key point of contact between our company and the network of subcontractors who play a crucial role in our projects. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong communication and negotiation skills, who can efficiently manage subcontractor relationships and ensure the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for sourcing and engaging reliable subcontractors.
- Conduct thorough market research to find the best subcontractors and negotiate contracts.
- Maintain a strong network of subcontractors across various trades to ensure resource availability and competitive pricing.
- Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Facilitate the resolution of disputes and issues that arise with subcontractors during projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and other internal teams to align subcontractor work schedules with project timelines.
- Ensure all subcontracting practices adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience in construction or a related field, with a focus on contract coordination or project support.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management software.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $51,784.57 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to Relocate:
- Jamaica, NY 11434: Relocate before starting work (Required)
