What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consultant (Hybrid) position at Sawtooth Software?
Who are we?
Sawtooth Software is a leading provider of software tools for the market research industry. Our software is used by hundreds of well-known companies (Google, Microsoft, Ipsos, Deloitte, Amazon, etc.) as well as universities around the world for product development, pricing research, forecasting demand, and much more.
We place a strong focus on flexibility and work/life balance, with working hours strongly respected. Longevity in our people helps build strong relationships with our customers, who value their interactions with us as much as they value our software.
What is the position?
We are looking to grow our recently established UK office to better serve our customers around Europe by adding to our Client Services team.
As a Consultant in our Client Services team, your role will primarily be as a problem solver for our customers. You will use your experience in the art of survey programming and data collection to help you on the path to becoming an expert in Conjoint Analysis, preference modeling techniques and a range of other Marketing Science solutions.
Your days will consist of learning and using our cutting-edge techniques, working with customers (via email and phone) and being a key stakeholder to represent the customer during the development process of new features we plan to include in our software.
As your knowledge and familiarity with our software and methods expands, there will be opportunities to conduct consulting projects, teach workshops, and attend and speak at international events.
What are we looking for?
- You have a background/degree relevant to research (statistics, business, mathematics, economics, psychology, etc.) and have completed some statistics modules
- You have at least 1 year of experience within market research
- You have an interest in the fields of data analytics and consumer behaviour
- You have a logical mind, attention to detail and enjoy helping others solve complex problems
- You know your way around Excel, or are familiar with programming or markup languages such as HTML, JavaScript, Python, R, etc.
- Experience with survey scripting platforms (Qualtrics, Confirmit, Decipher, Sawtooth) or the methods we use (conjoint analysis, discrete choice, MaxDiff, experimental designs, regression analysis) is a major plus
Where are we located?
We currently work most days from home with one or two days in person. We love avoiding commutes and the flexibility that comes from working from home, but also recognize the benefits of in-person time for informal chatter and an excuse to have a nice lunch. Presently we use temporary office space in central Manchester, but anticipate changing this to Leeds towards the end of the year.
