Accountant

Growing government supplier is seeking an Accountant with federal government experience.

Compensation commensurate with experience, with a range of $110K-$130K.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Posting of vendor related invoices and ensure that the transactions are properly recorded
• Input and handle financial data and reports in the company s automated financial systems
• Spot errors proactively research resolutions for vendor inquiries with a special focus on determining root cause of problems and offering viable solutions
• Perform payments to vendors
• Support monthly closing activities as needed
• Prepare monthly and quarterly balance reconciliation
• Explain invoice processing and accounting policies to staff, keep contact with vendors and clients
• Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits, revisions and checks
• Act as SPOC for Accounting system updates and developments initiated by both the business and legislation changes
• Contribute to develop good accounting procedures the branch federal government business
• Support both local and global teams as needed
• Drive digital roadmap in finance, particular to the federal government space
• Drive continuous improvement project to simplify processes in Accounting plus gain efficiency in daily operations
• Thrive in a fast paced working environment

What you ll need to be successful:

• University degree – Economics, Accounting
• Deep knowledge of the federal government finance laws and regulations
• 3 years of accounting/audit execution experience, including federal compliance/reporting
• Advanced SAP user, knowledge of several ERPs is a plus
• Advanced MS Office user, particularly Excel
• Comfort with cyclical workload, with busier times correlating with corporate and territory Accounting calendar
• Customer service orientation and proficient communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to navigate change management and process complex and changing information
• Strong analytical skills
• Digital savvy
