Project Manager
SBG Technology Solutions (SBG), a wholly owned subsidiary of DSS, Inc. specializing in engineering, information technology, cyber-security, and training, is looking for a results-oriented Project Manager. The ideal candidate for this position would be an experienced individual who is hard-working, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced government contractor environment and is someone who has a positive energetic attitude. This position is located in Washington, DC.
OVERVIEW:
The Project Manager will be part of a team supporting the Veteran Affairs Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis and serve as SME as it relates to Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) legacy systems and the support to EHRM.
- Ensure that there is no impact to VistA during the migration and integration of legacy Office of Information and Technology (OIT) applications to the Cerner platform.
- Provide analysis to ensure that an effective federation data schema is supported from all the VistA sites to (e.g., identifying VistA data quality or data dictionary issues).
- Analyze VistA patches to ensure that there are no impacts to the enterprise or patient safety.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience is required. An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
- Able to create strategies and plans for integration of multiple IT systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained
- Hands-on experience in development and analysis of VistA, including Massachusetts General Hospital Utility Multi-Programming System (MUMPS) programming
- Experience with FileMan and HL7
- Able to coordinate with development and user teams to assess risks, goals and needs and ensure that all are adequately addressed
- Experience introducing new software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent discipline
- Previous Veteran Affairs experience is required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD to obtain and maintain a Veteran Affairs Public Trust Clearance
