Essential Function:
We are seeking a highly creative and driven Content Designer to join our creative team. The content creator will work with multiple teams in the Sally & Cosmo Prof divisions to concept, develop, shoot & edit various types of unique and engaging content, that align with the brand’s voice, tone, and messaging. The candidate should be a fountain of ideas for creating content that resonates with all media audiences to drive user engagement and promote the brand’s message to achieve overall marketing goals, while possessing the skill set to transform the best ideas into shop-able, user-friendly content assets for a strong, succinct brand and customer experience. You will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Copywriters and other content creators to develop content strategies, craft impactful messages and optimize content for various platforms. You should be able to demonstrate, with a proven track record of taking projects from creative concept to final delivery. A team player is a must with the ability to multitask and pre-plan projects whilst concluding others.This position is a hybrid role, reporting into the office in Denton TX on Tuesdays and Weds each week, working remotely the rest of the work week. Primary Duties
- Work with creative directors, creative leads, copywriters, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop copy and visual content strategies for all media that align with marketing goals and objectives.
- Concept & develop compelling and engaging content to support all brand, performance, paid and organic media, including graphics &/or videos.
- Proactively search and identify relevant trends for the brand’s audience within current social platforms and industry best practices to ensure the brand’s content remains relevant and effective.
- Ensure that work is produced to a high quality, with a consistent clear design, adhering to the Sally & Cosmo Prof brand aesthetic, messaging and tone.
- Optimize copy for social platforms, including character limitations, hashtag usage, and other platform-specific considerations, ensuring content is engaging, sharable, and drives user action.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and experience.
- Partner with project managers, copywriters, designers and photo studio to ensure seamless integration with creative process and procedures, while meeting reviews and deadlines.
- Present creative work through the lens of creative strategy to partners and leadership team.
- Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented and ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
- Provide overarching support to creative team members as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- BA in graphic design, social media marketing, or equivalent experience in content creation & editing
- 3 years of experience in digital, 2 years in a corporate retail environment or advertising agency
- A portfolio with proven depth of experience (digital content creation and motion design examples,) as well as, creativity and attention to quality and detail
- Exceptional conceptual skills, strategic instincts, knowledge of digital and social methodologies.
- High proficiency in Adobe Suite (After Effects, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.) Figma a plus.
- Ability to understand and adapt writing style to different target audiences and brand voices is a must.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, features and limitations, and ability to optimize copy for different platforms.
- Ability to take complicated inputs and translate them into simple customer experiences
- Experience in Workfront or other project flow platforms.
- Familiarity with website landing pages and modules, banners, and additional promotional material is a plus and may be needed as extension of campaign work.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively multi-task, assess priorities, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline driven
- Experience with Canva or similar programs
- Beauty experience a plus

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
- The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
