Do you want to be responsible for creating and maintaining consumer web experiences and applications in a fast-paced, digital sales environment? As a web developer at SBLI on a Sales & Marketing agile team you will design and build best in-class consumer-oriented experiences that help make our customer experience an informative, intuitive, fulfilling, and frictionless journey.
You will have extensive knowledge of software engineering, be proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and have excellent collaboration and communication skills across business groups.
The ideal candidate has five years of experience in a hands-on web development role leading the development or redesign of tightly integrated, consumer-focused websites and applications within the financial services industry with life insurance experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing user interfaces using Angular best practices.
- Adapting interface for modern internet applications using the latest front-end technologies.
- Writing JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Making complex technical and design decisions for Angular projects.
- Developing pages and applications in Angular, HTML, and PHP / WordPress.
- Conducting performance tests with the QA team.
- Collaborating with the User Experience Design team.
- Working with Data Analytics teams to ensure proper throughput of data across platforms
- Ensuring high performance of applications and providing support.
Key Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing front end applications.
- Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and SPA
- Must have 3 years of hands-on experience with Angular 2 .
- Well versed with software architecture patterns.
- Experience with advanced configuration, debugging and creation of WordPress plugins and customized themes.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager/Google Analytics; Twilio/Segment CDP or similar.
- Experience using JavaScript building tools like Gulp or Grunt.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle, versioning and using GitHub as a software repository
- Functional knowledge and hands on design experience with Web Services (must include both Restful and SOAP), XML, and JSON are necessary to be successful in this position.
- Proven experience implementing front-end and back-end JavaScript applications.
- Experience building Sales & Marketing oriented tools & applications that integrate with CRM & Analytics systems
- Excellent communication skills.
- Critical thinker and good problem-solver.
