Overview
Responsible for processing various types of regional electronic billing documents and data, This person will communicate regularly with other internal and external vendors, customers and carriers. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
Responsibilities
- Compiles and validates electronic billing support paperwork including Carrier delivery tickets, Bill of Ladings and supportive documents.
- Validates/enters accurate dates, times, quantities and product/s into our billing automation system.
- Communicates efficiently with interdepartmental coworkers and external vendors/carriers..
- Reconciles all daily deliveries with internal reconciliation programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager(s).
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-5 years of billing experience.
- Fast/accurate 10 key by touch.
- Strong understanding of billing and payable structures.
- Ability to make observations and draw conclusions based on analysis of large amounts of data from a variety of sources.
- Proven organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Must have the ability to work independently and also within a team environment.
- Must have ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be computer proficient and willing to learn new computer and software programs. Must have working knowledge of the newest Microsoft products including: Excel, Word, Outlook and the Internet based software.
- High school graduate (or equivalent) with some post-secondary education.
Experience in the petroleum industry or related industry preferred
This position requires verbal and written contact with corporate personnel, customers, sales, dispatchers, vendor representatives, and management. Accordingly, this position requires excellent communication skills and professionalism via telephone, email and in both formal and ad hoc meetings.
