What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microbiology Analyst III position at SCA Pharma?
SCA Pharma prepares life sustaining intravenous medications for hospital patients. Our Microbiology Lab plays a key role in ensuring that our products and facility are maintained at the highest levels of sterility. What we do matters, and you can be a part of that.
The Microbiology Analyst III will be responsible for supporting the Microbiology Department with data processing/entry in addition to performing Environmental Microbiological testing, Final Product Testing, and daily housekeeping of the laboratory. Microbiology Analyst III will utilize their laboratory knowledge and experience to assist the Microbiology Analyst I and II level.
Essential Functions:
- Environmental Monitoring (Including Viable Surface, Viable Air, and Particulate Testing)
- Final Product Testing (Including Sterility Testing and/or Endotoxin Testing)
- Data Entry/Trending
- Sample Plate Enumeration
- Maintain Laboratory Inventory and equipment
- Laboratory Cleaning and Biohazard Bin Removal
- Ensure GMP compliance in all activities performed
- Perform other additional job-related duties as required
- Perform Data Review
Assist with Technical Writing (SOPs, OOLs, OOS, etc.)
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel)
- Ability to communicate and work with team members in an effective manner
- Ability to work independently on scientific projects
- Scientific technical writing ability including authoring and revising SOPs or technical reports
- Experience in Microbiology (Academic and/or Job Related)
- 4 year college degree required
- Preferred 3-5 years laboratory experience
