What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drywall Technician position at SCAD?
As a drywall technician, you will apply drywall to walls or ceilings, prepare panels for painting, and smooth out imperfections. You will read blueprints and designs; use a lift to place ceiling panels; and measure, cut, fit, and fasten panels, among other duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be able to pass a DOT medical exam
- One to two years of experience or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
