Summary:
Founded by legendary aircraft designer Burt Rutan, Scaled Composites is a 40-year-old aerospace company continually working to push boundaries, prove out ideas, and influence the future. We are a rapid prototyping and manufacturing facility, designing, building, and testing proof-of-concept and prototype vehicles. We have flown an average of one new aircraft type per year over our 40-year history such as Proteus, GlobalFlyer, SpaceShipOne, Model 401, and Stratolaunch.
Scaled Composites is seeking a Staff Industrial Security Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the CPSO for new and existing programs.
- Carryout basic security investigations with an understanding of deviations, infractions, violations and reporting requirements.
- Work independently to develop plans, processes, procedures and policy
- Proficiency with government information systems to include DISS, NISS, SWFT and NBIS.
- Proficient knowledge of SOP’s, SCG’s, DD254’s and hands on experience with contractual requirements and executing security requirements and deliverables
- Experience with ATO’s, Fixed Facility Checklists, construction security requirements (ICD 705)
- Development of OPSEC, Transportation, and Technology Control plans.
- Develops Security and Education Programs - supports, interprets, implements, delivers, communicates
- Develop and conduct briefings (Indoc, refresher, foreign travel, Courier, COMSEC)
- Understands and contributes to the development of physical security requirements.
- Understands the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DoD manuals
- Have proficient knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), Program Directives, DoDM 5200.01 Volumes 1-4 (DoD Programs), DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4 (SAP Programs)
- Research security incidents
- Mentor level 1-3 security personnel
Required Qualifications:
- Current Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret
- 15 years of CPSO experience (and/or security related) or directly related experience with Bachelors; or 8 years’ experience with Masters; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s Degree. Related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered by the hiring manager.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills to facilitate good internal and external customer relations
- Experience in file/ data management or Personnel Security
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), Adobe Professional, and SharePoint
- Ability to meet enhanced security requirements and obtain/maintain SAP eligibility and access.
- Working knowledge of the 32 CFR National Industrial Security Operating Manual
- Experience utilizing DISS, SIMS and/or JADE.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior compartmentalized security (SAP or SCI) experience.
- CDSE Industrial Security Training - FSO for Possessing Facilities, Intro to SAP, SAP Compliance, SAP Mid-Level, etc.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.
- Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience leading or mentoring other personnel in a team environment.
- Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- OPSEC program experience.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills speaking, writing skills and organized skills enabling effective communications .
- Computer and desktop office software products experience.
- Classification review experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Requires mobility and the ability to bend and reach
- May infrequently require lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and coordination are required; repetitive hand motion (e.g., to operate computer keyboard)
- Vision at close distances and the ability to adjust focus for prolonged periods (i.e., computer screen)
- Ability to remain sedentary or stationary for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to write for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in an office setting for prolonged periods of time
- May be asked to carry up to 20 lbs. up and down a flight of stairs on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc.
- Occasional reaching overhead and lifting up to 15 pounds
- Ability to converse and communicate information with others
- Occasional exposure to chemical vapors and/or fumes in low non-hazardous concentration
- Potential to climb up and down steps on a daily basis
- Must be able to read and understand SDS
