Survey Party Chief

Expected Skills and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED

· Honest, dependable, thorough, safety conscious, and a strong work ethic

· Must be able to work to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude

· Must be self-driven with little or no supervision.

· Have a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record

· Must be able to pass a background check as required by Clients

· Maintain regular and punctual attendance

· Greater than three years of land surveying experience

· Knowledge in use of GPS and electronic data collectors

· Mental and physical labors are a part of this job. Able to bend, stoop, reach and lift 75-lbs

· If needed, must be willing to enroll and pass OSHA and other compliance & policy programs

· Working conditions could be indoor/outdoor and the job is subject to extreme weather conditions

· Must daily keep detailed time record for self and others

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Reads and understands plans and specifications

· Complete boundary/as-built survey

· Complete ALTA Surveys

· Topographic surveys and x-sectioning

· Complete construction staking

· Performs mathematical calculations; field checking & field data

· Take accurate and clear notes and perform note reduction

· Know basic sources of measurement errors

· Know principles of monumentation, staking and marking stakes

· Responsible for quality control and performance of your work

· Responsible for the maintenance of all company equipment

· Maintain company vehicle including cleaning out the vehicle daily

· Completion of accurate time sheet for you and your crew member(s)

· Responsible for meeting with clients and others as a representative of the company

· Performs other duties as assigned

· Manage project schedules and timely completion of projects to ensure profitability

· Simultaneously plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
