KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE
To manage the Demand & Supply for Scapa Windsor Operations. Resource will interface with Commercial, Finance, Customer Care, Quality and Supply Chain organizations for the End to End Supply Chain processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Confirm Sales Orders and Delivery commitments for Finished Products.
- Schedule all jobs on Coating and Converting work-centers to maximize productivity and hit corporate RLIP- Requested Line Item Performance (Customer requested shipping) goals.
- Manage SAP work orders in alignment with production lines and work centers.
- Monitor schedule adherence with production departments
- Maintain appropriate Stocking levels, Safety Stock quantities and order frequency
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Demand/Forecast picture and Make to Stock vs. Make to Order classification recommendations.
- Execute Purchase Orders following Scapa Windsor’s Purchasing and ISO procedures.
- Manage inventory stock levels for assigned materials.
- Coordinate releases of materials stored at off-site locations to meet scheduled demand.
- Partner with internal Production, Quality and Logistics/warehousing staff to ensure timely receipt of Production Materials.
- Support Supply Chain Team in efforts to incorporate forward-looking Demand Management.
- Maintain SAP master data accuracy and update as necessary.
- Partner with Suppliers and Scapa Source Process Lead on Raw Material Quality requirements, issue RTA and Credit requests as required
- Assist Supply Chain Manager and Source Process Lead on Supply Chain Optimization, projects, SKU Rationalization, Distribution and Fulfillment strategies
- Backup other Planners/Buyers as needed
- Assist with Revenue Forecasting and Budgeting
- Other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5 years’ experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 Years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement
- Effective in work organization: managing priorities and objectives in a timely manner
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of MRP process (Plan, Source, Make, Buy, Deliver)
- Familiar with an integrated ERP system (SAP, ORACLE, JD Edwards) and Production Scheduling tools.
- Maintains a process focus and time-based approach with regard to Production
- Intermediate Excel skills
DESIRABLE SKILL, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced Procurement Experience
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- APICS, ISM, or CIPS accreditation
- Lean Six Sigma experience
