Main purpose of positionCurrently we are looking for a Senior Project Finance & Investments Manager in Oslo, Norway to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Senior Project Finance & Investments Manager Manager, you will combine setting the Investment Framework for the Scatec Group with Project and/or Corporate transactions. You will support Scatec’s regional project finance teams with your knowledge and expertise. You will be involved in transaction management, quantitative analysis and quality review of material presented to executive management both for our projects in development phase, but also strategic projects including M&A. The role also acts as an advisor for the group for financial analysis and developing corporate risk measures as well as forming a part of the company’s centre of excellence on Project Finance.

Main responsibilities 

• Perform investment analysis of various investment opportunities within renewableenergy, including energy storage and hydrogen in emerging markets
• Prepare investment decision material for Executive Management and Board of Directors
• Support business areas with valuation and optimization analysis
• Participate in M&A opportunities (valuation, cash flow modelling) and due diligence processes
• Work on Project Finance transactions if and where required across the globe, build project business cases and raise debt equity on project level
• Contribute to development of investment framework, valuation methodology, modelling and communication
• Increase and share knowledge on macro-economic parameters affecting our business (interest rates, inflation, FX)
• Participate in and develop further the aggregation of project profitability information, monitoring of active projects in the regions
• Serve as a key link between new and ongoing business in the regions and the CFO’s office
• Contribute towards Project Prioritization including increasing (financial) project data quality and automation
• Act as digital lead for the wide project finance organisation and develop technology tools for more efficient information gathering and increase data quality
• Validation and quality assurance of business cases

Qualifications and competencies 

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar University level education, commerce Degree or Engineering Degree with CFA/MBA is an advantage
• 5-10 years background in Project Finance / Structured Finance
• Experience with M&A (financial assessments / valuations) is an advantage
• Experience with project-based work (preferably (renewable) energy)
• Expert in complex financial modelling using MS Excel
• Experience with PowerBI, Bloomberg and S&P tools
• Language: fluent both written and spoken in English
