Scenic Art Studios is seeking industrials for several our Milford, Connecticut based work locations. Scenic Art Studios specializes in producing theatrical backdrops, built scenery, architectural/decorative treatments, and more.
- Union Position – Membership not required to start – On the Job Training provided.
- 35 hours per week with the possibility of Overtime
Ideal Candidate: An industrial is extremely organized, has great attention to detail, plays well with others, thinks ahead, and prepares in advance.

What is an Industrial?
An Industrial is expected to anticipate the needs of scenic artists to help ensure projects run with maximum efficiency.
An industrial:
-prepares workspaces for scenic artists ( Preparing materials, gathering tools, and managing supplies)
-maintains shop cleanliness and organization of supplies.
-learns the correct solvents, soaps and cleaners to fit each medium.
-learns material safety data sheets for products used by artists.
-maintains product for shop inventory
-is responsible for tool maintenance, (cleaning brushes, rollers, repairing broken tools)
-packs paint kits for artists traveling for touch up calls.
-flags potential safety hazards in the workspace.
-is able to lift heavy objects (65 lbs)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $36.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Milford, CT 06460: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
