Exterior Painter

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and other finishes to various surfaces. This is a part time or full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks

- Mix paint and other materials to achieve the desired color and consistency

- Apply paint, varnish, or stain to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns

- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas from paint splatter

- Remove fixtures and furniture as needed before painting

- Repair damaged drywall, plaster, or stucco before painting

- Use power tools and hand tools to perform necessary tasks

- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment

Experience:

- Proven experience in construction painting and renovation projects

- Knowledge of different types of paint finishes and their applications

- Familiarity with caulking, frame carpentry, and drywall repair techniques

- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints

- Proficiency in using power tools and other equipment related to painting

Skills:

- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work

- Strong knowledge of color mixing and matching

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Good communication skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members

- Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during the painting process

- Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects as required

Pay: $17.00 - $20.45 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
