CNC Machinist Job Overview:
CNC Machinist primary job is to deliver quality products in the most efficient way while complying with quality, ISO 13485, FDA and safety policies and standards. Maintain the process established by engineering, following the work instructions and supervisor instructions to achieve company goals.
CNC Machinist Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains good housekeeping at the immediate work area and shared areas.
- Maintain the approved process.
- Follow the work instructions.
- Problem-solve as required.
- Operate CNC Mill machines.
- Perform CNC machine in-progress maintenance as required per work instructions.
- Maintain the integrity of the quality system by following production and quality department SOP’s.
- Report Efficiency and labor hours through ERP (SAP) and ADP software
- Receive and process inspection data report.
- Follow Safety instructions.
- Responsible for preparation and loading of raw material.
- Responsible to remove processed material (metal or plastic chips)
CNC Machinist Necessary Education, Soft skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):
- Working knowledge of a wide variety of measuring instruments.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Working knowledge of various materials & tools (inserts, endmills, drills)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills
- Possess a positive can-do attitude (Basic English required)
- Must be dependable and possess a willingness to learn new techniques.
- Working knowledge of Fanuc controls is required.
Communication Skills:
All Employees are required to be able to speak and understand English language enough to understand the written and verbal instructions provided by management or other coworkers.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced deadline orientated environment.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
Education:
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience that is related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
