Title: Frontline Leader Location: Security, CO Shift: 2nd Compensation: $17.75 - $27.73 plus 8% shift differential SUMMARY Leads team members in the assembly and test of electronic and mechanical components and assemblies. Lead and perform assignments and specific tasks for the department. This position has responsibilities in administration, production, assembly, process set-up, work flow, work scheduling, work assignments, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities within the work group. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Ensures associates comply with all safety regulations and business processes. Lead production teams to meet requirements for quality, delivery, quantity, and cost. Must be able to develop strong working relationships with associates. Be able to counsel and coach team members on how to research and implement problem solving ideas. Must be able to coach and motivate teams and team members to perform to their maximum potential Trains employees on various assembly and testing processes. Assigns tasks to other workers based on workflow and associate skill level. Assists the facilitator in various departmental duties. Fields internal customer complaints and investigates the cause of the problem Maintains a daily record of production, scrap, and rework. Assist workers in performance of duties to solve work problems. Performs production work at any station as needed. Ensures hot expedite orders are completed in a timely manner. Operate high production equipment. Other Duties Change or adjust machine setups to maintain specific quality levels. Clean and perform preventative maintenance as needed in order to maintain the equipment I optimum operating condition at all times. Perform twisting, bending, reaching and forceful repetitive motions that require the use of shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, waist, legs and neck to lift parts from metal pans. Operate computer controlled equipment throughout the shift. Lift up to 35 pounds from floor to waist level throughout the shift. Stand on concrete floors for 8 hours every day. Ability to work in a noisy, dirty environment. QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience leading teams in a fast paced production environment is highly desired Prior experience in electronic and mechanical assembly operations Strong organizational skills – including multiple tasks with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work loads Able to incorporate analytical and problem solving skills using available data and material management tools Have a strong mathematical and quantitative skills – including strong communication skills; both verbal and written Ability to learn and use multiple manufacturing business systems. Ability to use MS Access, Word, and Excel helpful. Available to perform overtime when required. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must have good listening skills and the ability to work effectively with team members. Must possess basic math and reading skills. Understands written and spoken English.
