Job Description
PROJECT ENGINEER
Reports to: Head of Sales and Program Management
Summary:
The project engineer is responsible for the sales process with customers as well as the point of contact after the contract has been signed. The project engineer manages new sales leads through business directories and client referrals.
Responsibilities:
- Review, maintain and accept customer documentation/requirements, including POs, government issued documents, contracts, etc.
- Maintain strong relationship with customers.
- Issue quotes and maintain quoting history.
- Issue shop order acknowledgements.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
- Maintain current filing system on company accounts and prepare required reports.
- Maintain shop orders in the ERP system.
- Review customer scorecards for accuracy and prepare reports for Management Review based on Scoreboards.
- Tracks and maintains all compliance for sales (i.e.; ITAR registration, SAM registration, etc.)
- Processing of customer projects in collaboration with design and engineering development department.
- Processing of quotation process including pre- and post- costing.
- Clarification of the specification with the customer.
- Acquisition of new customers / new projects.
- Written and personal communication with the customer.
- Market analysis / forecasts.
- Order processing internally.
- Fair activities (planning, implementation, post-processing)
