As a Learning & Development (L&D) Learning Specialist in the Commercial Operations, you will be responsible for developing and managing an L&D workstream to support all Sales & Client Management teams under Sustainability Business to upskill the knowledge around SB Offers & Services. Through upskilling, you will directly impact Sales & Client Managers performance, giving them the tools & knowledge needed to accelerate business growth & achieve business targets.
Reporting to the Director, Operational Effectiveness, you will be partnering closely with Business Leaders, Marketing, and Subject Matter Experts (i.e. Solution Architects), to establish training content linked to our Offers & Services, focusing on:
- Why to Sell: Overall market & client trends
- What to Sell: What the offer is / what it is not
- How to Sell: Key Differentiators, Ideal Customer & Selling Challenges
The L&D Learning Specialist role will be a mix between project management and instructional design, building both a project roadmap for developing & refresh of training materials, whilst also understanding the most effective way to train the Commercial teams on depth of offer dependent on their role.
Responsibilities: Learning & Development Specialist - Offers
- Establishment of a training program focused on upskilling the organization on Sustainability Business Offers & Services
- Gather existing training materials (or other – external marketing materials, launch materials, additional resources) to curate or coordinate a training program for all levels of the organization based on region & role to upskill knowledge of our offers & service
- Development of customized learning material & training content on Offers to support any knowledge gaps
- Assessment of organization knowledge base across offers and deploy of training paths based prioritization of offer gaps and role
- Partnership with the Business & Marketing teams to support conduct learning workshops to support trainings for new learning objects and/or remediation as appropriate
- Governance & Maintenance of Offer Training
- Review & proposal of centralized repository for training, i.e. Global Offer App refresh, MLL, other.
- Lead recommended solution for long-term content approach.
- Conduct annual review of all training materials and establish cadence to support the refresh or updates required, as well as continuous evolution of trainings based on offer maturity.
- Develop and implement evaluation methods and metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning programs, making data-driven decisions to continuously improve the quality and outcomes of training initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a field lending itself to L&D, Training or Project Management. MBA or advanced degree is a plus
- Proven track record of success in a similar role ideally within the Energy Management industry
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing programs, tools, and resources that drive effectiveness and productivity
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to completion
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Available for travel up to 10%
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of learning and development strategies and methodologies
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and training administration processes
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through metrics and data analysis
