Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer in Lake Forest, CA.
Job Description: Design and integrate EV charging systems, including charging stations, power electronics, communication protocols, and backend management systems. Develop technical specifications for EV charging infrastructure, considering safety, performance, interoperability, and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, such as SAE J1772, IEC 61851, ISO 15118, and OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol). Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop hardware and software components of the charging system, including user interfaces, control algorithms, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) functionality. Position eligible for up to 3 days remote work per week.
Requirements: Position requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and experience (1 year with Master’s or 3 years with Bachelor’s) in systems or test engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Designing systems of products, systems, and complex IoT offers, including writing requirements, creating technical specifications, and performing functional analysis; Creating functional decompositions to allocate system functions to subsystems; Managing requirements for traceability and bug tracking; Developing automation for test hardware and software in the industrial manufacturing industry; and Diagnosing test bench issues.

The U.S. compensation range named above for this full-time position, includes base pay and short-term incentive, is for candidates located within the U.S. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
