Director of Curriculum
Job Posting for Director of Curriculum at School Administrative Unit 6
- Provide leadership, direction, and supervision in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment using data based models to improve student learning.
- Collects and analyzes data to identify and strategize goals that strengthen curriculum and improves instructional practice.
- Provide professional development opportunities for teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and other staff.
- Collaborate with other administrators to coordinate efforts centered around curriculum, instruction, assessment, and student learning.
- Interpret achievement data for administrators, teachers, board members, as well as public release.
- Works directly with the district’s assistant superintendent for collaboration among schools within the district.
- Facilitates meetings that involve issues related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Works with individuals and departments to guide them in aligning curriculum and implementing competency-based education, and coach them on effective instructional strategies.
- Assists with creating a school climate where the core belief is that every student can, and will, learn and succeed for the purpose of reaching their highest potential.
- Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required, including at least five years of classroom teaching experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment physical, as applicable.
- Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, or related area in education.
- Must hold, or be working towards holding, a New Hampshire certification for Curriculum Administrator.
