TITLE: Administrative Assistant - MWV Career and Technical Center
QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) Minimum high school diploma/post-secondary education preferred.
(2) Five years’ experience in a related job area.
(3) Proficient in the use of all office equipment.
(4) Computer experience with a high level of proficiency in word processing, database
management, and other software as needed
(5) Possess the qualities of efficiency and organization.
(6) Demonstrate a high degree of independence and initiative.
(7) Possess a high level of interpersonal skills
(8) Demonstrate high levels of professionalism and conflict management
(9) Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
REPORTS TO: Career and Technical Education Director
PURPOSE: To enhance student achievement by assisting the Career & Technical Center Director in efficiently operating the school administrative office.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
(1) Maintain the highest ethical behavior and confidentiality level concerning student matters and all other confidential school business.
(2) Ensuring that all correspondence and documents are prepared professionally and on time.
(3) Typing and/or filing pertinent material as requested by the administrator.
(4) Assisting principal/administrator in developing, generating, and monitoring the school budget, state grants, grant evaluations and other required forms.
(5) Greet visitors in a friendly and helpful manner.
(6) Assist aides and secretarial help by providing appropriate instruction and training.
(7) Perform any other task relevant to the job description that the director may assign.
(8) Communicating with parents, community, and school personnel in a professional manner
(9) Following district policies and procedures.
(10) Performing general/building-specific clerical and supervisory tasks.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND EVALUATIONS: Wages, length of work day/week/year, terms of employment, and evaluations will follow the provisions of the negotiated contract between the Conway School Board and the Conway Educational Support Personnel.
