POSITION TITLE: Music Teacher (60%)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NH Music Teacher certification or proof of eligibility for NH certification
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Classroom experience or prior work with children preferred
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB SUMMARY: To provide all students with Music education that provides for their intellectual and artistic as well as social/emotional growth to reach their full potential.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning
- Plan and deliver Music instruction based on District curriculum and student needs
- Establish classroom procedures and manage student behavior in a manner consistent with child development
- Monitor student learning to inform instruction and document progress
- Coordinate with and support the UA team and other colleagues
- Communicate with students, families, and staff about the music program and events
- Collaborate with music educators to enhance professional knowledge and practices
- Participate in ongoing reflection and professional development for growth
- Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications to meet student need
- Follow District policies and procedures and maintain accurate records
- Complete other duties as assigned by the principal
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated by the principal in accordance with DIstrict evaluation procedures
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the Bartlett Education Association (BEA) contract and District policies
