Paraprofessional/PCA

Summary:

The School District of Borough of Morrisville is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Paraprofessional/PCA position for the Grandview Elementary School. The assignment(s) and/or the hours of responsibility may change at the discretion of the Administration. Maximum of 37.5 hours/week.  

Qualifications:

• Experience with school-aged children preferred
• Experience in a learning support position and/or an emotional support position
• Provide instructional support in small groups
• Provide one-on-one instruction
• Modify materials as needed
• Applicant must be energetic, innovative, progressive and capable of working collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and administrators
• 48 college credits OR Associate Degree OR meet a rigorous standard of quality
• Provide evidence of 20 hrs. of professional development annually
• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics

Clearances and other requirements:

• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)

Background employment clearances and the following additional paperwok must be completed within the last year to be valid: Arrest/Conviction Report (Act 24), PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), and School Health Record which includes physical (within a year) and TB test (within 3 months).

Salary:

Per Agreement between Morrisville Board of School Directors and Morrisville Educational Support Personnel Association.
