Description:
The School District of Somerset is seeking applicants for a full-time (260 days) Buildings and Grounds Supervisor position beginning as soon as possible. This position conducts and oversees the maintenance of all buildings and grounds for the District while also serving as the Maintenance Technician in one of our schools. This position handles a variety of maintenance related responsibilities under the supervision of the Director of Business Services & Operations; serves as project manager for all district maintenance projects, is responsible for the district wide B&G budget, and continually seeks to reduce operational maintenance costs to optimize the efficiency of the buildings. Supervisory responsibilities include hiring and training of maintenance technicians, being the point person overseeing the contracted custodial employees, planning, assigning and directing work. The supervisor also addresses complaints and resolves problems. The ideal candidate will supervise employees and effectively and work well with all customers both internal and external. This position qualifies for a full benefit package, starting wage is $88,442.00 or commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related fields or an equivalent combination of education/certifications and work experience.
Experience in facilities management in comparable size public or private organization.
Previous experience to include building automation systems, safety and security is beneficial.
Must successfully pass criminal background and caregiver check.
