MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Supervises District Officers (and subsequently RLCs) and assists them performing their duties.
  • Project Manager for school-wide projects.
  • Develop and maintain employer relationships and the employer portal.
  • Maintains Master Course List (MCL) and facilitates communication on course launches.
  • Updates SOE Instructor portal with relevant information.
  • Prepares and delivers weekly reports at required meetings.
  • Approves hiring recommendations from District Officers and coordinates hiring process.
  • Effectively communicates with Director team to ensure successful and timely project completion.
  • Enforces catalog and institutional policies among students and staff.
  • Assist in the organizational efforts of all labs.
  • Participates in activities that promote the School of EMS, to include student recruiting, and program marketing events, as appropriate.
  • Participates in local instruction as needed and credentialed.
  • Participates in budgetary planning and reporting as needed.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associates Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Experience:
    • Operational or project management experience for 2 years required
    • Supervisory experience for 2 years required.
    • Healthcare and/or Education experience required.
    • Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

  • State driver’s license required.
  • Paramedic or equivalent certification/licensure required.
  • NAEMSE or equivalent Instructor preferred.
  • Must obtain BLS, ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS, and EPC instructor status within 18 months of employment.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Language Ability: Must exhibit the ability to read, analyze, and interpret education-related material. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures as they relate to teaching certain topics within the EMS curriculum.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in different formats. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in the use of audio-visual equipment.

SUPERVISORY REPONSIBILTIIES:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include first-level supervision on site, instruction, lab set up, and testing.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Some travel may be required for this position.
