Job Category: Engineering Job Family: Operations Systems Job Description: Work with Operations, Engineering, IS, Plant Maintenance, Process Engineers, and contractors to understand, develop, and maintain the Ignition SCADA system. Understand the needs of the users and implement SCADA changes to meet those needs. Provide plant support as required for SCADA and potentially Controls, Operations Reporting and MES. What you’ll do: Collect the requests for new SCADA functionality, features, etc. and develop/execute solutions. Update documentation to reflect project updates and changes. Ensure support, to include troubleshooting, is provided for SCADA; support is a shared function that requires 24/7 call availability. Responsible to ensure compliance to technical guidelines and standards on all projects and work while utilizing the Management of Change process. Drive and support various projects with automation design. Development and implementation of SCADA programming is this role's primary responsibility while working with a cross-functional team. Work with plant leadership and partners to improve the plant floor systems. Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. What you need to succeed: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Desired experience: 3 years of SCADA development including programming, hardware configuration, & software conceptual design (Ignition preferred w/ experience in both Vision and Perspective modules) Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk View Machine Edition to manage machine-level operator interfaces Other computer skills that include Microsoft Office, SQL servers, SSRS, RSView, Rockwell Automation software, iFix, Sepasoft Experience with the following Programming Languages: MSSQL, VB, Python, HTML, PLC Logic Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desired Effective communications skills, both verbal and written. Collaborate with teams and build relationships with cross functional groups. The desire to quickly learn technologies and help identify new technological opportunities/solutions. Technical writing and documentation.
